Patrick and Honor liked each other, but there was always a little extra bit of friction that wasn't there with Diana, and Linda and Joanna were so much younger than Patrick, it made it hard to bridge the gap. They really are hard to beat in the onscreen chemistry department (I think Gareth and Joanna were the only other pair to spark quite as well). Patrick and Diana's friendship no doubt informed their relationship onscreen. They worked extremely well together, and the fact that they liked each other and were good friends off-screen really showed. There was definitely a spark between Patrick and Honor, and not so much with Patrick and Linda or Joanna, but nothing could top Patrick and Diana. Philippa wrote:Oh yes the chemistry between Patrick and Diana was magical.

I love this author's writing and found this to be a very entertaining, enjoyable, fast-paced read. O'Shea's Loveblood is a sweet and intense YA shifter story. From the moment they meet, nothing will be the same for Jonah or Max ever again. When two teenaged werewolves from very different worlds meet one snowy January day, both of their worlds get turned inside out. He's under enough pressure without a runaway from a bad pack complicating his life. Everything is set, his whole life planned, and Jonah works hard to be exactly what everyone expects. His family is close, his dad is respected by their whole pack, and he's been groomed to take over for as long as he can remember. Jonah Spellman has what seems like the perfect life. Max and Celia find sanctuary in a garden cottage at Holly Court, the sprawling estate where Celia's oldest friend lives with her pack alpha husband, three daughters, and teenaged son Jonah. When Max hit puberty and it became obvious he’d never make an alpha wolf, his father turned the brunt of his anger toward his inferior son and his beta wolf wife for producing him. Max Appleton and his mother Celia are are on the run, hiding from an abusive father and husband who’s also a notoriously bad pack leader. I’m absolutely dying for the sequel (the epilogue oh my gosh!!!) and I would highly recommend this contemporary fantasy romance, inspired by Korean mythology and folklore & set in Seoul, to anyone who loves romance with a kick. The love interest, Jihoon, is so charming(seriously! what a charmer!) and Miyoung (who’s a gumiho!) is so conflicted & complex, I love her. I’ve been craving some romance, and this totally pulled through on that front. Wicked Fox was such a great read, and I devoured it all in one day. Once there, Noemí is struck by the strange and unwelcoming atmosphere of the Doyles' house and the controlling and patronising attitude of its inhabitants. Suspecting that Virgil may be after Catalina's money, Noemí's father, Leocadio, sends her to the Doyle home, High Place, which is located in the mountains outside of a small town named El Triunfo. She firmly believes that her English husband, Virgil Doyle, intends to poison her. In terms of its organization and structure, this book is patterned very well. It is 200 pages long (but the pages are somewhat larger than usual for the books I read), full of elegant text and pretty pictures, well-organized, and serves well both in revealing the state of medical knowledge and gossip in the Middle Ages as well as providing evidence that the Middle Ages were not quite as credulous an age as is commonly believed. Are one of the following true about you: Do you like seeing beautiful pictures of plants, or have an interest in gardening and traditional medicine? Are you a fan of Medieval history, and enjoy reading extended quotations from the herbal dictionaries that were extant during the Middle Ages, their advice ranging from seemingly sound to obviously bogus? Are you a fan of the Cadfael series, and enjoy reading quotations from the books Ellis Peters wrote about her 12th century monk detective? If you answered yes to any of these questions, congratulations, this is probably a book you will enjoy.
